A great day for a hike. The trail was a little muddy in places, and little windy in others. I got see some old friends, Dennis, Doshi, Melissa and Nason, and met some new ones, Michelle, Kathy, Lilly, Aaron, Russ and Abigail. All in all, ti was a great group to hike with and good day!
Thanks Bill and Bob for organizing this hike. Awesome workout, some serious good climbs, and sweet mountain views. Even went for a little extra exploring afterward since we liked the place. Look forward to hiking there again.
The fog and light showers did not dampen our enjoyment.... ok, we did not see the long range views from the overlook but we saw another "mood" in the forest and it was beautiful and the company was great.
Chattanooga Hiking Meetup is an outdoor adventure and eco-volunteer club that plans hiking, backpacking, camping, paddling, and biking events throughout the year ranging from easy to strenuous, local to regional. The aim of the group is to explore the natural beauty of the region and to develop a social network for people with like interests.
In addition to our regular hikes and other outdoor adventures, we also plan social events and organize community volunteer projects such as park cleanup and trail building!
